PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Dustin Johnson stood on the 18th tee as powerful waves crashed along the sea wall along the left side of the famous 18th hole at Pebble Beach. Then he turned to face what he considers the toughest drive on the golf course.
"It's such a gorgeous hole," Johnson said. "If you miss it a little left, it's not so pretty."

Mike Davis, the senior director of rules and competition for the USGA, said Saturday evening that the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach will be televised until 11 p.m. EDT on Saturday, with a 10 p.m. EDT finish for the final round.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) -Jesper Parnevik sounded optimistic about returning to golf Wednesday after speaking to a Michigan specialist who told him he could avoid surgery for a broken vertebrae.
